One of the most popular ways to see downtown Memphis, in style!, is to take a carriage ride (shown here on Front Street). You can find them for hire in front of The Peabody Hotel and also on the west end of Beale Street. Isn't it fun to let someone else do the driving for a little while? Have you ever taken a carriage ride?I haven't been able to visit everyone this weekend as much as I would like, as it is our anniversary today and DS1 came home to help us celebrate. We have a few carriages in downtown Nashville, although I have no idea if they do well or not.

Open carriage rides are offered here, in Summertime. But I {a local} have never taken one. :-)
We have a trolley ride runs too. ,-) Actually, they are buses, but they look like trolleys and they 'clang-clang,' like of old. That is fun, with little kids.
I used to take my Granddaughter when she was little. I'd wave out the open window and have her wave too, and the driver would be clang-clanging the bell, and people along the street would smile and wave back. Fun...
