Kellogg's Plant

This Kellogg's plant has been in south Memphis for as long as I can remember. As a little girl, I have memories of riding in the car with my parents past this building and being able to smell Corn Flakes baking...and wondering if Tony the Tiger was there, too. This plant produces both Corn Flakes and Frosted Flakes (and you can still smell them when you drive by), and this photo was taken from a bridge next to the plant. If you love your morning Corn Flakes, they possibly had their beginning right here.

It's been sooooo long since I've had frosted Kellogg's... Now you made me crave them! ~8}

That's a great looking sign.

I love Kellog's! But I have stopped eating cereals at the moment because I have read conflicting reports on them. So it's just fruits for breakfast only.

Thanks for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and for leaving your comments. Have a fabulous weekend!

I love the sign. They dont make them like that anymore. There used to be a bread factory in Dallas, when you drove past you could smell the bread baking. I think I would take the Frosted Flakes instead. Yummy

very cool photo and post... how funny that it reminded me of the mrs bairds bakery in dallas also - when i was a kid you could drive by on the highway next to the plant and smell the fresh baked bread... i'll have to drive by this kelloggs plant the next time i come through!

I didn't even know that was there. I'm going to have to find it, next time I'm in town.

I love the lighted sign. I didn't know Kellogg's are made in Memphis, TN. But now I do.
