Signs of Spring...

When we were visiting the riverfront area this past weekend, we saw our first sign of Spring here...a tree budding and near leafing-out. This tree is located right on the Mississippi River bluff. I'm not sure what kind of tree this is, but any hint of Spring is a welcome sight!

Nice to see, out trees always are the last to bud. We have pecan trees.

Yuppie! Great news. Buds bring energy and a good feeling. Here nature is still dormant...

I've been watching the budding trees here as well. Each bulging bud is a joy to see.

The beautiful, clear sky alone is enough to give you a sunny disposition.

This is a nice photo of a tree that has been fooled into believing spring is here and we got 61 degrees at 4:00 a.m. here in Brookville, Ohio where I live. Once solid two-week freeze on top of this will kill a lot of stuff as it did last year.

It is a nice shot but I think premature and I hope the tree isn't flirting with disaster.

We've had Spring-like weather here the last few days, but the trees have not been fooled. Sadly we probably have at least another month before they begin to show signs of life.

Sings of spring in early Feb! Oh, how I wish I could witness that up here, in the frozen tundra...

San Diego's seasons are less distinct than those of other areas, but when I was growing up in Minnesota, Spring was my favorite time of year. I particularly liked that day when all of the sudden, all of the trees look like they are covered in a sort of green mist. Spring here in San Diego is the start of the "brown" season. ;-)

I like the angle and the subject. The blue is just perfect, and I can see the first signs of life.
