Water Lily

Water Lily, Memphis Botanic Garden.

Some day soon I'll show you other places around town, but this time of year our area gardens are just too pretty to ignore.

Looks like I could just reach right out and pluck it from the water. Beautiful photo.

Beautiful lily pads and the flower is stunning.

Years ago when our baby was young we went to North Carolina and there we found a lily pad farm or pond where they grew all kinds of lily pads (I don't know the correct names) and one of them was so large (the pad) that you were supposed to be able to stand on it as the edges were turned up like a bowl.

Of course they wouldn't let me try it.

Very nicely composed shot - I especially like the reflection in the water.

Gorgeous photo! I've been trying to shot some lily pads, lately, without much success.
